Massacred Pen

Well, some of my post have been deleted due to my hosting company have chosen to take backups around every 3 month, which means I have lost some post, and some comments.

Im considering a new hosting company, and yes I’m pissed!

Nothing to read in this post, just some pictures of my dog, clicking on the picture shows them in the original size.

Looking at the calender, I thought to myself it was about time that I came up with a thesis statement, because the paper should be handed in on May the 30th, which is only a few weeks away, and the paper needs to be between 20-25 pages, so there is a lot of work to be done in the next few weeks. I think I had made a good start on the paper, because our teacher requested that we all handed in a 7-papers version of the paper, which only 2 of us did

I choose to write about Gears of War, but I used all my energy on getting a grasp on how to a analysis about the narrative and space in Gears of War, that I totally forgot something very important, the thesis statement. So in the middle of the night, before I should turn in the 7-page paper I came up with a thesis statement, that I only described in the introduction to the paper and the conclusion, which of course made my paper to a really mess, and the teacher was not that excited about my paper. So in that light, I think it would be a good idea to come up with a thesis statement… Now my problems is what the hell should me thesis statement be about, I’m having a really tough time coming up with any ideas for my thesis statement. I just know that I really like Gears of War, but from there to actually making up a academic problem that I can write about, well, let’s just say there is a really long way.

1. What happened to the design!?!

Well, it vanished! Also I like this standard design a bit, so I think I will go with that for some time… Also there is a another explanation for the missing design. Which lead me on to the next thing that happened.

2. Wordpress 2.5 Wuhuu!

Well, after seeing Jonas bragging about how easy it was to update to Wordpress 2.5, I thought to my self, why not update to 2.5(Also I heard there was a huge security issue with the earlier version of Wordpress). But that didn’t went as smooth as planned. I ended up with a:

Where I tried this solution :
ini_set(”memory_limit”,”32M”);

But that didn’t work, because my webserver didn’t allow me to set memory limit that way. So I wrote to my host to solve the problem, and it’s now solved! The problem was only solved because of a great help from EER. Thank you very very much without his help I would have been stuck with the: ini_set(”memory_limit”,”32M”); and wondering why it wouldn’t work.

3. Hvorfor er bloggen ikke på dansk mere?

The second thing some of you might notice is that the blog post aren’t in danish anymore, that’s because I thought why limit myself to danish people only(=Jonas would properly be the only one visiting my blog), so now I’m hoping that there might be other out there who can enjoy my blog post. Also I hope to improve my English…

4. The headline of this post is: “Casper 1217 - Spam 0″

The reason? Well I got a lot of spam, and had 1217 post awaiting moderation. I think I didn’t delete any normal post. Morten’s post got through, so that’s a success But if there was any of you other guys comments I deleted, I’m really sorry. It won’t happened again! The reason why it wont happened again?

5. A new spam protection - Will come later today

I’m on work now, and since my work have some pretty strick rules, it’s impossible for me to get onto my ftp server, so that will have to wait. The spam protection i’m going to use is reCAPTCHA, the smart thing about reCAPTCHA is that while it hopefully protect this site from spam, you also doing a good thing when writing a post on my blog. Not as good as saving animals from animal cruelty… But you help translating scanned books, so we could all enjoy some digital book in the future. You can read a lot more about it on the reCAPTCHA site.

And from now on I will write much more on this blog. I think the next post will be about how much I ROCK when playing Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, and how much Jonas suck!… Ahem.. Also I bought Condemned: Criminal Origins(that’s the first one), which might not be the smartest thing I’ve done, since the game really looks frighting. But in a Post-I’ve-seen-season-one-of-Dexter thing I thought that it would be cool to be a FBI(SCU-agent) agent that hunted a serial killer. Not the smartest thing, but I except Jonas to play it with me(?). The reason for buying 2 new games is that I bought a new computer 3 days ago, so it’s time to play computer games again, and not only console games.
Also I bought the 2007 edition of the Razer Boomslang, and I know it’s a cheap(actually quiet expensive) gimmick and it’s just to get some money out of nostalgic people like me, and when they only produce 10,000 unit worldwide, it’s hard to say no! The reason why I think it’s the best mouse ever made is because it really fit my hand, I have some large hands, and to find a mouse that fits is really a big problem. Also it’s a really fantastic gaming mouse.

I really enjoyed the original X-box controller:

It fit my hand perfectly! Instead of those playstation 2 controller’s who is made for children at a maximum age of 5. Damn you Sony!
